There are 17 new Polish Congress Ambassadors

On 30th of September 2010 in The Polish Tourist Organisation met the Committee of The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program. As every year, during the meeting a group of Ambassadors were selected from 38 nominations submitted by city convention bureaux, universities and representatives of Polish meeting industry. The vote was attended by 11 people, with 14 eligible.
In the Committee debate took part: Prof. Janusz Lipkowski – President of The Sociaty of Science in Warsaw and Committee chairman, Prof. Jerzy Woy - Wojciechowski – President of The Polish Physicians Society and Jerzy Chmiel - Vicepresident of International Council of Organizations for Folklore Festivals and Folk Art. As a Program Organizers the Committee was represented by: Bartłomiej Walas, Vice President of The Polish Tourist Organisation, Robert Kępiński – Director of Department of Marketing Planning in Polish Tourist Organisation, Irena Sokołowska, Vice President of The Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association and the representatives of Convention Bureau of Poland: Krzysztof Celuch (Manager of CBP) and Aneta Książek (Program Secretary). Other members, Andrzej Arendarski – President of The Polish Chamber of Economy, Katarzyna Chałasińska - Macukow – Rector of University of Warsaw, Alex Kloszewski – President of Warsaw Destination Alliance, Elżbieta Penderecka - President of The Ludwig van Beethoven Association and Piotr Wilczek, President of The Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association, sent their votes, unable to personally attend a meeting of the Committee.
After a fruitful vote among the winners there were 17 new Polish Congress Ambassadors:

Ceremonial Gala of The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program with diplomas presentation will be held on 4th of November 2010, in Krakow.

The Gala of The Polish Congress Ambassadors took place in Sheraton Warsaw Hotel on the 4th of November 2009. The Gala’s patronage was given by prof. dr hab. Michał Kleiber – President of Polish Academy of Sciences.
Rafał Szmytke (President of Polish Tourism Organization) opened the ceremony. After him Piotr Wilczek (President of The Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association) and prof. Janusz Lipkowski (The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program chairman) took the floor. Maria Napiórkowska (Ministry of Sport and Tourism), on behalf of Katarzyna Sobierajska (Minister of Sport and Tourism), read the congratulatory letter.
Among gala’s guests were: governmental representatives, scientific world representatives, media and the tourism branch representatives.
During the ceremony the film music concert was played by The Sinfonia Viva Orchestra, conducted by Tomasz Radziwonowicz.
